Japan, one of the largest economies of the world and technologically advanced – has many touch-points in trade, commerce, education and travel with India. Whether one is an IT or other professional being posted in Japan or a student seeking further studies there – certain amount of knowledge of Japanese is essential.

Japanese-Language Proficiency Test or JLPT – is administered by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) through the Japan Educational Exchanges and Services (JEES). The certification consists of five levels: N1, N2, N3, N4, and N5, with N1 being the highest level and N5 the lowest.
